      Description

Runs on its own battery. Keeps running when the power doesn't.

The LZ-1902 ships with its 9V battery installed, so it's watching from the moment it's mounted — outages included. A single test button confirms the electronics, the buzzer, and the battery are all still good.

        9V battery included    85 dB at 10 ft    100 x 36.7 mm    EN14604:2005/AC:2008

Three things worth knowing before you mount it

Simple by design — a standalone alarm that doesn't ask for wiring or a network.

      Battery-powered — 1x 9V included

Easy to install anywhere, with no wiring run and no dependence on house power. The included battery means it's protecting the room even through an outage.

      Test button

One press verifies the electronic circuitry, the buzzer, and the battery together — a quick way to confirm the whole unit is still doing its job.

      Low-battery indicator

A clear alert lets the household know when it's time to swap the battery — well before the unit runs silent.

How a photoelectric sensor sees smoke

Inside the chamber, a light source and a receptor sit at an angle to each other — never in a straight line. In clear air, light passes the receptor untouched and nothing is reported.

When smoke enters the chamber, particles scatter that light onto the receptor, and the alarm reads the change as an alarm condition — triggering the visual and audible warning.

      One button, three checks

The test button doesn't just sound the buzzer. It confirms three separate things at once — the electronic circuitry, the buzzer itself, and the battery behind both of them — so a single press tells you the whole unit is still fit for duty.

Sized for a standard ceiling mount

Two views, to scale, for anyone specifying the install.
