10 Year Mini Smoke Alarm Battery
Description
Mini Stand Alone Smoke Alarm
The LZ-1951 runs on a sealed lithium cell rated for a full decade of standby — no battery swaps, no midnight chirping, no gaps in cover. Just a small photoelectric alarm that keeps watching.
10-year battery 85 dB at 10 ft 46 x 51 mm EN 14604:2005
10-year built-in lithium battery
The cell is sealed inside at the factory and sized to outlast the alarm's service life — one unit, no replacements, no battery drawer to check.
Photoelectric cavity self-test
The alarm periodically checks its own optical sensing chamber for drift, catching a fault before it becomes a false alarm or, worse, a missed one.
Hush feature
A single press quiets nuisance alarms — cooking smoke, steam — for 8–9 minutes, while the sensor keeps monitoring underneath.
Low-battery indicator
A clear signal well ahead of end-of-life, so the household has time to plan a replacement rather than discover the gap during an emergency.
Alarm memory mode
The alarm retains a record of the last alarm event, so it can be reviewed even after the air has cleared and the sound has stopped.
Why photoelectric, and why it self-checks
Inside the chamber, a light source and a receptor sit at an angle to each other — never in a straight line. In clear air, light passes the receptor untouched and nothing is reported.
When smoke enters the chamber, particles scatter that light onto the receptor, and the alarm reads the change as an alarm condition. The self-test routine watches this same optical path over time, flagging drift before it turns into a false trigger or a blind spot.
Hush, not off
One press silences the alarm sound for 8 to 9 minutes — long enough to clear the kitchen of steam or smoke. Sensing continues the entire time, and if smoke is still present when the window closes, the alarm resumes on its own.
Small enough to disappear on the ceiling
Two views, to scale, for anyone specifying the install.
